Second residential account for home.

Fiber is not available in my area. I would like to get a second 1gbps connection to my home and use a router to combine and balance the two WAN connections. More important to me is upload than download speed and since download is still being prioritized this is where we are...

For the life of me you cannot tell me this has never been done before? Is there anyone on here that can help make the second tap a reality for me?

They say to get a new physical address. I don't think that should be necessary to get another modem provisioned. I don't even require a service line to the house as I have had business and residential accounts on the same line with no issues.

Can anyone help me get a second residential account or modem provisioned?

Alternatively I would be willing to go to 500 down to get 500 up why cant they offer this option?

Hello Jeremyz2006. You can have multiple internet services at your location, but only one modem per account is allowed. You must create a secondary account for the additional service and modem through customer service.
We are anticipating the announcement of new Internet service tiers that will be implemented with the release of DOCSIS 4.0 technology. We expect more symmetrical options to be available. Please monitor our social media channels for announcements about new services.

How would additional services on one modem work? I can start up a new 1gig plan but just have it added to my current modem so I would theoretically get the new datacap? Would I also get more assigned channels on my single modem?

Any additional clues you can give on announcement date?

Each service requires its own modem.

I was able to get it set up the key was to call into customer support and submit a ticket to add the new address to the tap they created a 1/2 added onto my address so that I was able to activate a new account.
