acf firoentina.PNGWelcome to our ACF Fiorentina Women's team thread! We will post game schedules, highlights, player profiles, and anything else your soccer loving hearts could desire! Here is a little back story about the organization to start off!

ACF Fiorentina is a European soccer team based out of Tuscany, Italy. The organization was purchased in 2019 by Mediacom CEO, Rocco Commisso. The organization contains both a men and women's' team that are currently ranked 4th(men's team) and 3rd (women's team)in Serie A for their divisions and are playing in the Coppa Italia Quarter Finals.

The organizations motto is PLAY TO BE DIFFERENT. This is the slogan that will accompany the club's communications – an invitation to seek out an individual, authentic way of seeing and playing football. To be different, alternative, proud of our diversity.

It's time for a fun fact about the team!

Originally home shirts were half red and white, while shorts and socks black. In 1929, a mistake during the washing of a set jerseys given to Fiorentina by Colligiana meant the red dye ran into the white, creating a shade of purple. The color was so well liked by fans, it became the official team color!

Make sure you stop by after each game for highlights and a player profile as well as information on upcoming matches! You can also check out the team's website as well at https://www.acffiorentina.com/en/news/all/latest

Hello soccer fans!

Our lovely Fiorentina ladies faced off against Juventus on the 29th as part of the Italian Women's Cup Quarter Finals. Our girls managed to strike first with the help of Madelen Janogy. Juventus answered with a goal of their own from Julia Grosso. Fiorentina would not let that answered goal go and scored another before half time courtesy of Madelen Janogy again! At the half our girls led 2-1. Once the 2nd half started, Juventus scored the only goal of the half from Jennifer Echegini. We did see a yellow card for each side during the 2nd half and the final score of the game was a draw at 2-2.

Capture.PNGThe next match is set for Saturday February 3rd and they will be taking on Milan at 8am! As always the game can be streamed on Paramount +. Make sure to come back for highlights and a player profile as well!

Good morning soccer fans!

Our lovely ladies have actually had 2 games since out last update!

On February 3rd, they faced off against Milan! Milan was the first to strike with a goal from Kamila Dubcova. Our girls were quick to answer with a goal of their own from Madelen Janogy! Right before the half, Milan scored again with the help of Andrea Stakova making the score 2-1 Milan. Kicking off the 2nd half to tie the game is Fiorentina's own Laura Agard. Although there would be no more goals scored the remainder of the game, we do see an influx of yellow cards, 3 for Fiorentina and one for Milan. As the whistle blew, the final score was 2-2.

Yesterday, February 6th, Fiorentina took on Inter! The first half was largely uneventful except for a yellow card on Fiorentina. Both teams entered the 2nd half 0-0 and looking to strike first! Kicking off the 2nd half we see a yellow card on Milan and still scoreless. As time expired with the score 0-0, we go into extra time. Each team scores in extra time and we go to penalty kicks to device the game! Fiorentina wins 4-3 in penalty kicks! Our girls came pulled it out in a clutch!

Capture.PNGFiorentina's next game is set for Sunday February 11th Vs. Samdoria!  As always the game can be viewed on Paramount+ and make sure to come back for highlights and player profiles!
