Any avid sports fans know that your team is your team and it takes a lot to change that. They also know that there are players out there in every sport that you just like, love, or admire, no matter who they play for. Jason Kelce is one of the those players in the NFL.

jason 1.jpgYesterday, Jason Kelce officially announced his retirement from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. If you have not watched the press conference, I strongly recommend you do because it was a testament to Jason's passion for the game, his family who have supported him, and his love of Philadelphia.

In the press conference, he touched on several important parts of his career. He touched on Andy Reid and the call he got on that fateful day in 2011 when he had been drafted to the Eagles (in the 6th round, no less!), the first time he met his wife, Kylie in 2014, and his fondest memories with the Eagles.

Jason 2.jpgJason Kelce's time with the team has been filled with personal and professional achievements. He was chosen for the Pro Bowl 7 times, he was awarded 6 First Team All-Pro Honors, and he was instrumental in leading the Eagles to their first Super Bowl Victory in Super Bowl LII.  Off the field, the documentary "Kelce" was on Amazon Prime, he was one of Peoples "Sexiest Man Alive" finalist, he is constantly engaged in community work and has played with the Philadelphia Orchestra as well.

You may not be an Eagles fan or a football fan but there is no denying that this man has had one heck of a career and is well loved for his skills, passion, and love on and off the field. Hopefully we will still see him involved in football in some capacity.
