How are you conducting your speed test?
I would recommend hardwiring your PC or laptop directly to the modem to get the best speed readings. (Try to avoid speed testing on Wi-Fi or on a gaming console)
If problems persist with basic troubleshooting & testing, I would probably recommend to have a Mediacom technician come out to check your service issues
