Complete these steps to create a Mediacom ID:

Step 1: Go to, enter your Mediacom billing account number, and check the box next to 'I'm not a robot.'


Step 2: Enter your first and last name, existing email address, and a password. Choose your method for Two-Factor Authentication, or click 'here' at the bottom of the window to input a new phone number and click 'SIGN UP.' 

NOTE: Passwords must be 8 to 12 characters long; contain a minimum of one upper case, lower case, and one special character [! @ $ % ^ * - ]; and cannot contain spaces.

If you do not have a current email address to use, please click the ‘here’ link at the bottom of the window to create a new Mediacom email address.


 Step 3: You will receive a Text (mobile number) or Call (landline) for the 2FA Registration code.


Step 4: Complete two-factor authentication using the 6-digit number you received.


Step 5: Registration is now complete.


Step 6: Check your email and click 'Verify your email address.'


Step 7: Check the box next to 'I'm not a robot.'


Step 8: A window will show that your email has been verified. You will be notified of useful apps that are available for download.

Important Notes:

  • All account creations will require two-factor authentication via a text message or call to your landline number.
  • If you use an existing email account (e.g., Gmail) to create your Mediacom ID, you must verify that email account using a link you will be emailed within 90 days to activate it as a Mediacom ID.
