I finally changed the MAC address and the Mediacom DHCP server gave me a new IP address. Now sending/receiving works fine from a 3rd party app. Still no one can tell me why my old IP address was blocked from sending email from any 3rd party app. ...

Not sure how a cable modem would influence a remote mail server to not authenticate. I can ping the mail server and access it. I will see if I can find someone in town on Mediacom to try out my phone app there.

I have sent block removal messages to http://www.anti-abuse.org with no response yet . Sent multiple messages over the last couple of weeks. Also tried to contact spamhaus.org, but they say that being on the PBL is not something I can remove myself...
