Can anyone walk me through setting this up via IMAP? Spent almost 1.5 hours on with Mediacom support and no joy. The account is active, as I can login via webmail.

Did you get an answer yet? I’m getting the same message.

Good morning @Rae,
If you already have webmail set up on another device or 3rd party server, you can try removing it and re-adding it. We do have an post about adding your Mediacom email as well should you need it for reference, Third Party Email Settings.

This is still an issue for my father and I as well. Started happening with the iOS/iPadOS 18/macOS 15 releases. I think it's a bug on Apple's side. Two separate mediacom email accounts - both have the issue. He primarily uses the Mail app on an iPad on iPadOS 18.1.1, but I've confirmed the same issue on my iPhone and Mac, both running the latest software.
Triple-checked all the settings as recommended by the Mediacom support article. Sometimes it will fetch mail, most of the time it just spins or errors out. On the Mac it won't even let me update the port settings because it says it can't verify the username and password.

Good morning @morphineseason,
Have you tried removing the email totally from both devices and checking for updates on the mail application itself on the devices?

What I've tried in addition to verifying the account settings:
-Removed the accounts, rebooted, added them back.
-Deleting the entire Mail application and reinstalling from the App Store.
-Turning off all the various privacy/IP masking settings in iOS in case that was blocking something.
-Added a "/" to the IMAP Path Prefix as suggested on Apple's forums
-Reset Network Settings in iOS
I seem to recall in the past being prompted about accepting a certificate after removing/re-adding accounts, but that prompt never happens now. Not sure if the Mail app isn't accepting a new cert or cleaning up the old one properly if that's the case. Could have something to do with it? Gmail, Outlook, and iCloud accounts work fine. I'm at a loss.
