An Ode to Breakfast: Mattoon IL Bagelfest 2024

Mattoon Bagelfest-Bing ImagesQuick, easy, and endless possibilities, that pretty much sums up bagels in a nutshell and Mattoon's annual Bagelfest is ready to show you how versatile a bagel can be! Started in 1986 as a tribute to Lender's Bagels, which are produced in Mattoon, the event features fun and food for every taste and age. The event is largely held at Peterson Park in Mattoon and features food (of course!), a carnival, and concerts. 

This year the concerts for the event will feature Blessing offer on July18th, Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry on July 19th, and Resurrection, a Journey tribute band, on July 20th. The bagel eating contest will also take place on July 20th as well so make sure to stop and cheer on your favorite to win it all! You can also watch the Bagel Bow Wow, a dog contest with various categories and play Bingo as well!
