4th of July-CopilotWho doesn't love a bit of local family friendly fun and fireworks? If you are in the area today or tomorrow, stop by the Franklin IL 4th of July celebration held at Franklin Square Park! Festivities get under way at 4pm today and will include kids activities, live music featuring Jack Dupp and the Empty Bottles, along with craft and food vendors galore! Tomorrow the fun will kick of at 6am with a burgoo service (it's a popular hearty stew with a variety of meats and veggies slow cooked together, YUM). Then at 10am, you can catch the parade with floats, bands, and other local organizations showing their patriotism! All throughout the day, you can visit craft/merchandise vendors, kids activities like face painting, and check out all the food vendors again! Brushville will be performing in the afternoon, and at dusk you can catch all the fireworks!
While you are there, don't forget to stop and say hi to your local Mediacom team as well!
