Menifee, CA is set to shine brightly this holiday season with the return of the Xtream Christmas Light Fight. This annual event, sponsored by Mediacom, transforms the city into a winter wonderland as residents compete to create the most spectacular and festive home displays.
A Community Tradition
Running from November 29 to December 19, 2024, the Xtream Christmas Light Fight has become a beloved tradition in Menifee. It brings together neighbors and visitors alike to marvel at the creativity and holiday spirit on display. Entries must be in by December 3rd! The competition encourages participants to go all out with their decorations, resulting in a dazzling array of lights, inflatables, and themed displays.
Categories and Competition
Participants can enter their homes in various categories, each celebrating different aspects of holiday decorating:
- Best Theme: For the most cohesive and creative theme.
- North Pole Neighbor: For the display that best captures the essence of the North Pole.
- Inflatable Fun: Highlighting the best use of inflatable decorations.
- Clark Griswold: Named after the famous character from "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation," this category is for the most over-the-top and extravagant displays.
- Community Favorite: Voted on by the public, this category allows the community to choose their favorite display.
Public Voting and Awards
Public voting takes place online from December 13 to December 16, allowing everyone to participate in selecting the Community Favorite. Winners in all categories will be announced on December 19, with prizes awarded to the top displays.
