We have been dealing with severe upload issues and random complete outages for several months now. We have been told by two techs now that they are doing repairs on our node that should resolve our issues. This has been severely impacting my kids online classes (they are homeschooled with online classes), telework, and most critically VTCs with my daughter doctors out-of-town. I want to know why I'm paying $120 for this completely unreliable service. We had great reliable service since 2007. Then last spring our internet went down for over a month without warning which caused my kids to have to drop out of online school. We barely got an apology and now we feel like it's happening all over again. As usual there is no communication on what is happening What is going on and when will it be fixed?!?!?

I already did that, got a response 7 days ago that they are looking into it and nothing since.

Northwindone, Holy Crap! This is the first issue since 2007?!? I have been dealing with the same SINCE 2010! Don't expect an apology anytime soon, but get ready for a whole bunch more of delays, techs who know nothing and/or play dumb and say they know nothing, interspersed with some truth, "Ya we knew this was a problem", back to delays, and then blaming you the customer because the - splitter/ground/cheap cable/connectors/too many devices are bringing the network down. When the actual problem is Mediacom doesn't have enough bandwidth to provide their advertised speeds in an area where users are using the internet fully, with a large amount of devices. The infrastructure they have in place will not support it. That is why they are always "fixing nodes" or "looking for a the bad connection". And yet their customer service rating has gone up, because around 4-5 years ago they did away with any real customer service and replaced it with the AI version, and at the same time did away with the online blog they had on the website, and now (within last 3 years) charge you to have a tech come to your home. There will only be charges if the problem is within your home. LMFAO! Nothing else needs to be said about that.
Check out two things..Metronet and Starlink. Changes are coming.
