Mediacom has provided 3 convenient ways for customers to access their voicemail service from home or on the go.
- From your home phone, dial *98 or your 7-digit phone number to gain access to the voicemail system. You will be prompted to enter your voicemail passcode followed by the pound (#) key, unless you have disabled this option.
- From any other phone, dial your 10-digit phone number (including area code) and press the star (*) key during the outgoing greeting. You will be prompted to enter your voicemail passcode followed by the pound (#) key.
- From the Mediacom phone portal, enter your 10-digit phone number (including area code) and password. You can listen to voicemail messages through your devices speakers/headphones or email a copy of it to an email address of your choice. The Mediacom Phone User Portal can be accessed by going to https://commportal.mediacomcable.com/voice/
The first time you call your voice mail, you will be prompted to set up a passcode (PIN) by following these instructions:
- Initial voicemail setup MUST be done from a home phone.
- From your home phone, dial your own number (xxx-xxx-xxxx).
- Your initial pass code will be the last 4 numbers of your Mediacom phone number
- Follow the audio prompts to set up a Pass Code.
- Your voicemail passcode can be any combination of numbers, cannot contain a pound (#) or a star (*) and must be between four and ten digits in length.
- After setting up your Pass Code, you will be audio prompted to set up your Greeting.
Here are some important tips about your Mediacom voicemail.
- Your mailbox holds a maximum of 30 messages.
- Messages in the mailbox are retained for 30 days.
- Your mailbox can store up to 120 total minutes of voice messages.
- The maximum length of each message is 4 minutes.
- You can classify messages as Urgent or Private.
