How Do I Temporarily Disable The 5GHz Band On My Eero Network? (Xtream WiFi360 Pro)

Answer

If you’re having trouble setting up a 2.4 GHz-only device, you can temporarily disable the 5GHz band through the Eero app. This ensures all your devices connect to the 2.4GHz band for a smooth setup.

Steps To Temporarily Disable The 5GHz Band:

  1. Log into the Eero App:

    • Open the Eero app on your device and log in using your Eero account information.
  2. Access Settings:

    • Tap on the Settings icon at the bottom of the home screen.
  3. Navigate to Troubleshooting:

    • Scroll down and tap on Troubleshooting.
  4. Select Device Connection Issue:

    • Tap on My device won’t connect.
  5. Pause the 5GHz Band:

    • Tap on Temporarily pause 5 GHz. This will hide the 5GHz band for 15 minutes.

Important Notes:

  • Automatic Re-enabling: The 5GHz band will automatically re-enable after 15 minutes to ensure optimal network performance for compatible devices.
  • Manual Re-enabling: If you need to re-enable the 5GHz band before the 15 minutes are up, simply tap Cancel at the bottom of the app screen.
