I used to be able to log into my account and cancel an appointment for service. Why has that very convenient option been taken away?

I tried using both and couldn't find a way to cancel the service call. I used the chat option, but the person still wanted to call the number on the account, which was my wife's cell, who happened to be asleep at the time. I don't understand why if I am signed into the account and have passed all of the security requirements to do so, why I have to go through extra measurements to cancel a call. After all, I'm trying to save Mediacom money. I hope you have, or had, a Merry Christmas whenever you read this.
