This treasured holiday event, set for Saturday, November 23, 2024, transforms the downtown area into a festive wonderland, drawing visitors from near and far to celebrate the magic of the season.

The festivities begin with the Mayor’s Downtown Lighting Ceremony at 6:00 PM, where the mayor makes the town twinkle with holiday cheer by lighting up the downtown area. This enchanting moment sets the stage for the evening’s main attraction: the Lighted Christmas Parade. This year’s parade theme, “Christmas in the Kingdom,” pays tribute to the Kansas City Chiefs, featuring floats adorned in red and gold, creating a spectacular visual display.

The fun doesn't stop at the lights and the parade though. The Mistletoe Market provides a perfect opportunity to shop for unique, handcrafted gifts, while the Elf Factory invites children to create their own holiday crafts. Food vendors line the streets, offering a range of delicious treats from funnel cakes and hot cocoa to BBQ and other local favorites, ensuring that no one goes hungry.

The celebration continues with the Lane of Lights, a drive-through holiday light display that runs from November 23 to December 25. This dazzling display of lights is a must-see, adding to the festive atmosphere of the town.
