Mediacom’s Bolt service is a new wireless service! It can bring high-speed internet to rural communities with limited or no current service. Bolt utilizes Citizen’s Broadband Radio Spectrum (CBRS) technology to deliver up to 100mbps download speeds. Mediacom can do this by attaching antennas to towers that are connected to our network. The antennas then broadcast our broadband service, using CBRS, up to 9 miles away. There does have to be a direct line of sight from the tower to the service location for it to work.
