In the last year or so my internet would go out every now and then. Not often, but often enough where I'm a bit confused. Usually its "Your modem wasn't configured properly... and so on." So today my internet went out again, called customer support and they fixed it almost INSTANTLY. but... when I asked what the problem was to begin with, they said... "Oh, it wasnt configured properly."
Okay... so.... what makes a router configured properly and correctly. Because if my internet goes out again and they have to reconfigure it... again... I'm going to get a bit frustrated.

Hello Jbarnes09. I apologize for the frustration this caused. If you use a Wi-Fi router with a Mediacom modem, the modem must be reconfigured to turn off the Wi-Fi/router function. This configuration is called "baselined." In most circumstances, the "baseline" is resumed automatically after a service interruption. If it does not resume automatically, please text us, and we will correct it. Thank you- Sean
