acf firoentina.PNGWelcome to our ACF Fiorentina Women's team thread! We will post game schedules, highlights, player profiles, and anything else your soccer loving hearts could desire! Here is a little back story about the organization to start off!

ACF Fiorentina is a European soccer team based out of Tuscany, Italy. The organization was purchased in 2019 by Mediacom CEO, Rocco Commisso. The organization contains both a men and women's' team that are currently ranked 4th(men's team) and 3rd (women's team)in Serie A for their divisions and are playing in the Coppa Italia Quarter Finals.

The organizations motto is PLAY TO BE DIFFERENT. This is the slogan that will accompany the club's communications – an invitation to seek out an individual, authentic way of seeing and playing football. To be different, alternative, proud of our diversity.

It's time for a fun fact about the team!

Originally home shirts were half red and white, while shorts and socks black. In 1929, a mistake during the washing of a set jerseys given to Fiorentina by Colligiana meant the red dye ran into the white, creating a shade of purple. The color was so well liked by fans, it became the official team color!

Make sure you stop by after each game for highlights and a player profile as well as information on upcoming matches! You can also check out the team's website as well at https://www.acffiorentina.com/en/news/all/latest
