do i have to use erro product vs. my deco mesh network

ive been using a deco mesh network w mediacom for years.  mediacom sent me an eero.  am i required to use the eero or can i keep my existing gear in place?

Hey Dewars0009. You can use your own equipment.

I was recently put in a new package that has the Eeros built-in but I still use my own WiFi equipment.
